How to create a workout routine

A saved workout routine keeps your exercises and training targets ready for your next session. In Kylog, you can start from a routine template, build your own, or reuse the structure of a workout you’ve already completed.

Start from a routine template

  1. Open Routines, then Routine library.
  2. Browse the plans and open one to review its training days and exercises.
  3. Save the days you want as personal routines.
  4. Return to Routines when you’re ready to start a session.

Review the exercises before choosing a template so you know whether it fits your available equipment and the way you train. A template provides a starting structure; your workout log records what you actually do during each session.

Build your own gym routine

Open Routines and choose the add action. Give the routine a recognizable name, such as “Upper body” or “Full body A,” then add exercises from the exercise library.

You can browse the library by muscle group or equipment and read the exercise instructions. Organize your exercises and set your training targets before starting the workout. Keep your routine names distinct so it’s easy to find the training day you intended to repeat.

Keep frequently used routines on Home

Mark a personal routine as a favorite to make it available on Home. This is useful when you rotate through the same training days and want to begin without browsing the library each time.

Starting a workout from a routine gives you a plan to log against. Record the weight and reps you actually complete, or duration for timed movements, rather than treating the targets as completed work.

Save a completed workout as a routine

If you started an empty workout and want to repeat its structure, you can save the completed session as a routine. This gives you a reusable starting point for the next time you train those exercises.

Your completed workout remains a record of that session. The routine helps you start a future session, where you’ll log a new set of results.
