How to log your first workout

You don’t need to have everything planned out to begin. Start with a template, or create a routine around the way you already train.

Start with a routine template

  1. Open Routines, then Routine library.
  2. Browse the available plans and open one to see its training days and exercises.
  3. Save the days you want as personal routines. You can return to them from Routines.

Templates give you somewhere to start. Choose exercises and training that suit your experience.

Mark a personal routine as a favorite to keep it close at hand on Home. You can also turn a completed workout into a routine to repeat it later.

Build your own routine

Open Routines and choose the add action to create a routine. Give it a name that you’ll recognize, then add exercises from the exercise library. Organize the exercises and set your training targets before starting.

Log your session

Start a workout from a routine, or choose Start empty workout from Home. Add the exercises you want to train, record the weight and reps for each set, and mark sets complete as you go.

Your previous performance appears beside your current sets. For timed movements, record the duration instead of reps. Completing a set starts the exercise’s configured rest timer: add or remove 15 seconds, or skip the break when you’re ready. Your session and rest countdown are also available on your lock screen.

Workout logging works with data stored on your device. You can keep logging offline; account sync catches up when a connection is available. Check the sync status on Home if anything needs attention.

When you’re finished training, complete the workout so you can revisit it in your history.

Look back at your progress

Open History to revisit completed sessions. Use exercise progress to follow how your performance changes across workouts. Your own past sessions give your next workout useful context.

On Home, browse your weekly training frequency and muscle activity. The Progress tab brings together total volume, completed sessions, training streaks, muscle-group volume and your best lifts.

Share a completed workout

Open a completed workout and choose its sharing action. Pick a workout design, or use the photo option to put your workout details over an image. Preview the result before using your device’s share options.

For photo cards, choose a minimal, performance or streak layout, select a light, dark or lime theme, and adjust its placement. The Video option also lets you add workout stats to a short clip, trim it, adjust the frame and keep or mute its sound.

Screen labels can vary by app version and language.
